The Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) announced the win following its 32nd annual Texas Truck Rodeo , a two-day evaluation held at Eagles Canyon Raceway. This victory is part of a dominant five-year trend: Toyota pickups have now earned the top honor four times since 2022, with the full-size Tundra winning in alternating years. The Tacoma’s win is statistically notable; it is the first midsize truck to claim the overall award, breaking a long-standing precedent set by full-size competitors.
