The new Audi Q4 e-tron Quattro with 299 hp

For many Audi customers, four-wheel drive is a matter of course. Of course, this also applies to the highest degree when it comes to electric cars. The interest in advance has been enormous and many have been waiting for the Quattro version of the Audi Q4 e-tron. We are therefore pleased to offer 50 e-tron Quattro so soon after the world premiere. We expect the Audi Q4 e-tron to be a real company car favourite that also suits many active families where four-wheel drive is in demand.

The top model Q4 50 e-tron Quattro is equipped with twin electric motors for electric four-wheel-drive that gives a maximum power of 299 hp (220 kW) and 460 Nm of torque, where 0-100 km / h is done in 6.2 seconds and top speed is 180 km / h. To minimize consumption and maximize range, the intelligent motor control ensures a perfect balance between the two motors.

In normal mode, the drive is driven from the rear engine for more efficient propulsion. When more power is needed, the front engine is activated at lightning speed in a few hundredths of a second. This is done when accelerating, cornering or needing better grip on slippery surfaces, in short when the Quattro system is most useful. Activation also takes place predictively, e.g. when cornering where the wheel-selective torque control contributes with small braking interventions on the inner wheel.

On the rear axle is an efficient synchronous permanent magnet motor (PSM) that delivers 204 hp and 310 Nm and on the front axle an asynchronous motor (ASM) that provides 109 hp and 162 Nm. The advantage of the latter solution is that it has minimal losses when it is inactive, which makes propulsion more efficient.

The Audi Q4 50 e-tron Quattro is equipped with a larger battery that has a storage capacity of 77 kWh net (82 kWh gross) and a heat pump as standard to maximize range. On a holiday or business trip, charging is fast with a maximum charging capacity of 125 kW. With a fully charged battery, the range is calculated up to 480 km according to WLTP. With the charging service e-tron Charging Service, it is possible to charge at several operators with a single card. During the first year, the monthly cost is included and charging takes place at a reduced price at Ionity. Home charging is done with up to 11 kW.

The Audi Q4 e-tron Quattro is well equipped right from the start with Proline Advanced as standard. Those who want to spice up their Q4 50 e-tron Quattro choose the design package Edition One, which is available in sophisticated Geyser Blue or sporty Typhoon Gray paint. S line exterior tinted windows, dark-tinted Matrix LED headlights and taillights set it apart from the crowd. Both versions roll on 21 ”5W spoke rims from Audi Sport, which are platinum grey to the Geyser blue and matt bronze lacquered to the Typhoon grey. The Typhoon Gray also stands out with a black optics package and black details such as the Audi rings and the model name in black. The interior is based on S line interior, the Geyser blue with sports seats in black leather / artificial leather and the Typhoon grey has corresponding seats in steel grey upholstery with contrast stitching.

Audi is investing heavily in the transition to electric motoring. By 2025, the brand expects to have 20 pure electric car models in the program. The popular Audi e-tron was in April the third most delivered electric car in Sweden and has recently been joined in the Swedish car shows by the performance models e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT. The Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron will also arrive this autumn.

Recently, the concept car Audi A6 e-tron concept was also unveiled as a taste of upcoming model programs. Premium Platform Electric is a completely new platform developed under Audi's management in Ingolstadt, in collaboration with Porsche. The platform will be the basis for several larger models where the first mass-produced model will be presented in the second half of 2022. The mass-produced version of the Audi A6 e-tron concept will be presented later in 2023.

The Audi e-tron is already very popular and was the third best-selling electric car this April. With the Audi Q4 e-tron as a supplement during the second half of the year, we have high hopes of at least doubling our share of electric cars in terms of sales this year.

Audi has a holistic view of responsible and sustainable action that also includes suppliers and manufacturing. The Audi Q4 e-tron is manufactured in a climate-neutral manner in Zwickau, which was once the birthplace of the brand. By 2025, Audi plans for all facilities to be climate-neutral and the brand is already well on its way. The electric cars e-tron and e-tron GT are already manufactured climate-neutral in Brussels and Neckarsulm, respectively. In addition, Hungarian Györ has been certified, where i.a. the electric motors for the Audi e-tron are manufactured.

The Audi Q4 e-tron will be launched at Swedish Audi dealers in early June but can be ordered now. The first customer deliveries will take place this summer.
