Renault Austral is the first in the company's new series of compact c-segment SUVs. The model is 4.51 m long and takes up to five passengers. Kadjar's replacement is named Austral, which comes from the Latin word australis and it does not sound completely foreign to car buyers in Europe. The new Renault Austral SUV will be launched in the spring of 2022.

The new Renault Austral benefits from a range of engines with a new generation of the E-TECH Hybrid system on a 400 V network and developing up to 200 hp, as well as two other petrol engines: a Mild Hybrid Advanced 48V with 130 hp and a Mild Hybrid 12V of 140 and 160 hp.
