The new 2022 Ford Ranger pickup truck

Ford has used both its expertise and knowledge of the pickup customers' wishes and needs and worked closely with customers from all over the world to develop the next generation Ranger into a perfect pickup - both for work and leisure use.

Ford has always been a faithful pickup for small businesses, fleet customers, farmers, families, and adventurers in more than 180 countries worldwide. With the new Ford Ranger, customers not only get a car they will love, but they are also connected at all times - which will help us develop a solid and lasting relationship with them. The new Ford Ranger will be the medium-sized pickup that customers will want to own and experience, says the CEO of Ford Motor Company, Jim Farley.

The new Ford Ranger will be available to order in Europe in late 2022, with customer delivery in early 2023. The next-generation Ford Ranger has been given a bold and confident design with Ford's global design DNA. For the first time, the Ranger matrix also offers LED headlights. In addition, the soft Premium material is used inside the cabin, and a large, user-friendly touch screen is a prominent part of the interior. This is equipped with Ford's latest SYNC 4 infotainment system.

Under the body is an upgraded chassis where the wheelbase has become 50 mm longer and 50 mm wider than the current Ranger. The engine compartment has also been larger to accommodate new driveline technologies and the 3-liter V6 turbodiesel engine.

The next-generation Ford Ranger is also designed to have just as good driving characteristics if used as a regular work pickup or pushed to the limit. The front wheels have been moved forward by 50 mm to get a better angle of attack and provide better driving characteristics in rough terrain. The rear dampers have also been forced to give an even better driving experience on the road and on poorer road surfaces. Customers can also choose between two- and four-wheel drive systems - which are electronically changed as needed, or a new advanced four-wheel-drive system that can be locked when customers need it.

Inside the cabin, the new Ford Ranger has several intelligent and connected solutions, an all-digital instrument panel, more storage space than ever, and more comfort. Centrally located in the car is a 10.1 or 12-inch touch screen with Ford's SYNC 4 voice-activated infotainment system. The new Ranger also comes with a FordPass Connect modem which, among other things, makes it possible to start the car remotely, lock it from a FordPass app on your mobile phone and see where it is parked. In addition, driving mode selection has been integrated into the SYNC 4 screen, which you can easily reach with one touch. From here, you can, among other things, choose which driving mode you want to monitor the driveline, steering angle, and the car's pitch and roll angles.

The screen is also connected to a 360-degree camera which can be helpful if you park or drive in rough terrain. Customers can also control the Ranger's new lighting system, which illuminates around the car, from the FordPass app or the touch screen inside the pickup. You no longer have to stand and work in the dark with this light. It can also be practical in connection with the use of the Ranger for leisure activities. The Ford Ranger technology will also be updated and improved continuously through wireless Power-Up updates in the future. There are also several practical and intelligent storage rooms and solutions in the passenger compartment. For example, there is storage where the mobile phone is charged wirelessly, and there is a large room in the center console with more storage space in the doors and under the seats.

Another example of how customer feedback has affected the design and functionality of the new Ranger is a practical step that is integrated right behind the rear wheels. This is so that the customer does not have to stand on the wheel when they want to get something on the loading platform. The loading platform has also become broader and has room for a full-size pallet. It has also been equipped with a new surface that better protects against scratches. Several fastening hooks for securing cargo are also among the improvements. The new 2022 Ford Ranger also has a unique loading system that provides better opportunities to divide the loading plane into different zones. In addition, the tailgate is designed to also function as a workbench with clamps to hold planks and other material in place.

Customers will also make their new Ranger even more personal. There will be more than 150 original accessory solutions from launch - both for work and leisure. These also include several solutions developed in collaboration with ARB 4x4 Accessories.

The next-generation Ford Ranger will be produced at Ford's factories in Thailand and South Africa from spring 2022.
